4.5-FOOT CHAINSAW-CARVED CEDAR WELCOME BEAR
One-of-a-Kind Wood Sculpture by Jess Alice Standing approximately 4.5 feet tall, this hand-carved Welcome Bear is a substantial piece of original chainsaw art designed to make an unforgettable first impression. Carved from a single piece of cedar, the bear stands upright with its paws wrapped around an integrated vertical “WELCOME” post.
The tall silhouette, expressive face, and deeply textured fur give the sculpture presence from a distance, while the individual carving details reveal themselves up close. Each element is individually chainsaw-carved and finished by artist Jess Alice. Rich burned detailing creates depth throughout the fur while contrasting against areas of exposed natural cedar, highlighting the grain, warmth, and character of the original timber. Designed for an entryway, front porch, driveway, garden, lodge, cabin, vacation property, or business entrance, this is more than a decorative accent—it is a statement piece created to welcome people for years to come.
ONE OF A KIND No molds. No mass production. Each Jess Alice sculpture begins with an individual piece of timber and is carved by hand, allowing the natural characteristics of the log to become part of the finished artwork. Variations in grain, knots, color, shape, and carving ensure that every sculpture has a character entirely its own.
NATURAL CEDAR Solid cedar is naturally suited for both indoor and outdoor display. As genuine wood responds to changes in temperature and humidity, natural checking and cracks may develop over time. These are normal characteristics of solid-wood sculpture and contribute to the individuality and character of the piece. For outdoor display, periodic application of an appropriate exterior wood sealer is recommended to help preserve the finish. Protected or covered placement will provide the greatest longevity.
