4.5-FOOT CHAINSAW-CARVED CEDAR BEAR WITH FISH
One-of-a-Kind Wildlife Sculpture by Artist Jess Alice Standing approximately 4.5 feet tall, this hand-carved bear and fish sculpture is a substantial piece of original chainsaw art, created to bring the character of the wilderness into a home, lodge, cabin, business, or outdoor setting. Carved from a single piece of timber, the composition features a full-bodied bear standing upright with a large fish held between its paws.
The elongated form of the original log becomes part of the sculpture itself, creating a striking vertical silhouette with presence from every angle. Individually chainsaw-carved and finished by artist Jess Alice, extensive fur texture runs throughout the bear, while the sculpted fish creates a natural focal point through the center of the piece. Rich burned detailing adds depth and contrast, revealing highlights of natural wood beneath and emphasizing the individual cuts and textures of the carving. At approximately 4.5 feet tall, this is a true statement sculpture—equally suited to a mountain home, lodge, fishing retreat, cabin, garden, covered entryway, or business looking for a distinctive piece of original wildlife art.
ONE OF A KIND No molds. No mass production. Each Jess Alice sculpture begins with an individual piece of timber and is carved by hand, allowing the natural shape, grain, knots, and markings of the log to influence the finished artwork. These natural characteristics, combined with the individual carving process, ensure that no two Jess Alice sculptures will ever be exactly alike.
NATURAL CEDAR Solid cedar is naturally suited for both indoor and outdoor display. As genuine wood responds to changes in temperature and humidity, natural checking and cracks may develop over time. These are normal characteristics of solid-wood sculpture and contribute to the individuality and character of the piece. For outdoor display, periodic application of an appropriate exterior wood sealer is recommended to help preserve the finish. Protected or covered placement will provide the greatest longevity.
