3-FOOT DOUBLE OWL CHAINSAW-CARVED CEDAR TOTEM
One-of-a-Kind Relief Carved Wood Sculpture by Jess Alice. Two owls emerge from a single cedar log in this one-of-a-kind, 3-foot sculptural totem. Each owl is individually relief-carved directly into the timber, creating depth and dimension while preserving the natural form and character of the wood.
Designed as a statement piece, the vertical composition draws the eye while maintaining the organic simplicity of the original log. Burned accents create rich contrast around each owl and define the individual feather details, while the exposed cedar showcases the wood's warm tones, grain, knots, and natural markings. Individually chainsaw-carved and finished by artist Jess Alice, this piece makes a distinctive addition to an entryway, home, cabin, lodge, garden, covered porch, or business.
ONE OF A KIND No molds. No mass production. Each Jess Alice sculpture begins with an individual piece of timber and is carved by hand, allowing the natural characteristics of the wood to become part of the finished artwork. From the grain and knots to the shape and markings of the log itself, these natural variations ensure that no two sculptures will ever be exactly alike.
NATURAL CEDAR Solid cedar is naturally suited for both indoor and outdoor display. As genuine wood responds to changes in temperature and humidity, natural checking and small cracks may develop over time. These are normal characteristics of solid-wood sculpture and contribute to the individuality of the piece. For outdoor display, periodic application of an appropriate exterior wood sealer is recommended to help preserve the finish.
