30" Chainsaw-Carved Cedar Moose with “Howdy” Sign
Original Wood Sculpture by Jess Alice. Hand-carved from cedar, this 30-inch moose brings warmth, character, and unmistakable personality to an entryway, lodge, home, garden, or business.
Sculpted primarily by chainsaw and individually finished by artist Jess Alice, the piece combines the natural beauty of wood with expressive detail and a timeless rustic aesthetic. The rich, burned finish enhances the grain and carving marks while giving the sculpture depth and dimension. The removable “Howdy” sign offers a welcoming finishing touch and can be exchanged with additional signs, sold separately, allowing the piece to change with the season, occasion, or setting.
One of a Kind. No molds. No mass production. Each Jess Alice sculpture begins with an individual piece of timber and is carved by hand, allowing the natural grain, shape, knots, and character of the wood to become part of the finished artwork. No two pieces are exactly alike.
Natural Cedar is naturally suited for both indoor and outdoor display. As genuine wood ages, checking and small cracks may develop as it responds to changes in temperature and humidity. These natural characteristics are expected in solid-wood sculpture and contribute to the individuality of the piece. For outdoor display, periodic application of an appropriate exterior wood sealer will help preserve the finish and beauty of the sculpture.
