24" CHAINSAW-CARVED BEAR WITH INTERCHANGEABLE BUZZ OFF SIGN
One-of-a-Kind Cedar Wood Sculpture by Artist Jess Alice A little attitude, carved in cedar. Standing approximately 24 inches tall, this one-of-a-kind bear proudly holds a removable “BUZZ OFF” sign—a playful warning for visitors who may have overstayed their welcome. Hand-carved from solid cedar by artist Jess Alice, this bear features an expressive face, full-dimensional form, and deeply textured fur. Burned detailing settles into the carving and brings out each individual cut, creating rich contrast against the warm, natural cedar highlights of the face, ears, and sign. Its tall, narrow profile creates plenty of presence without taking up much space, making it a distinctive piece for an entryway, front porch, cabin, garden, shop, office, business, or anywhere that could use a little personality.
INTERCHANGEABLE SIGN The pictured BUZZ OFF sign is removable and interchangeable, allowing the bear's message to change throughout the year. Swap it for another compatible Jess Alice sign to suit a holiday, season, special occasion—or simply your current mood. Additional interchangeable signs and accessories may be purchased separately when available.
ONE OF A KIND No molds. No mass production. Each Jess Alice sculpture begins with an individual piece of timber and is carved by hand. Variations in grain, knots, shape, carving, and natural markings become part of the finished artwork, ensuring that no two bears will ever be exactly alike.
NATURAL CEDAR & NATURAL CRACKING Solid wood continues to respond to its environment after carving. As cedar naturally expands and contracts with changes in temperature and humidity, checking, cracks, and small separations may develop or change over time. These are normal characteristics of solid-wood sculpture and are not considered defects. They contribute to the natural character and individuality of the artwork. CARE & DISPLAY For the longest life, protected or covered placement is recommended whenever possible. When displayed outdoors, periodically apply an appropriate exterior wood sealer according to the manufacturer's directions to help protect the wood and finish from moisture and UV exposure. Avoid prolonged contact with standing water or persistently wet ground. Natural checking generally does not require repair. Larger checks may be stabilized or professionally filled if desired.
