33" CHAINSAW-CARVED BEAR WITH INTERCHANGEABLE BARE PAWS ONLY SIGN
One-of-a-Kind Cedar Wood Sculpture by Artist Jess Alice A warm welcome—with one very specific house rule. Standing approximately 33 inches tall × 7 inches wide, this one-of-a-kind cedar bear proudly holds a removable “BARE PAWS ONLY” sign, combining classic wildlife sculpture with a playful message made for animal lovers. Hand-carved from solid cedar by artist Jess Alice, the bear features a full-dimensional standing form, expressive face, and deeply textured fur from ears to paws. Burned detailing settles into the individual carving cuts, creating rich depth and contrast while allowing warm natural cedar highlights to emerge throughout the sculpture. Its tall, narrow profile gives the piece substantial presence without requiring much floor space, making it a distinctive addition beside a front door, entryway, covered porch, fireplace, cabin, lodge, garden, pet-friendly business, or anywhere four-legged guests are preferred.
INTERCHANGEABLE SIGN The pictured BARE PAWS ONLY sign is removable and interchangeable, allowing the bear's message to change with the season, occasion, or personality of its new home. Swap it for another compatible Jess Alice sign whenever you're ready for something different. Additional interchangeable signs and accessories may be purchased separately when available.
ONE OF A KIND No molds. No mass production. Each Jess Alice sculpture begins with an individual piece of timber and is carved by hand. Variations in grain, knots, shape, carving, and natural markings become part of the finished artwork, ensuring that no two bears will ever be exactly alike.
NATURAL CEDAR & NATURAL CRACKING Solid wood continues to respond to its environment after carving. As cedar naturally expands and contracts with changes in temperature and humidity, checking, cracks, and small separations may develop or change over time. These are normal characteristics of solid-wood sculpture and are not considered defects. They contribute to the natural character and individuality of the artwork.
CARE & DISPLAY For the longest life, protected or covered placement is recommended whenever possible. When displayed outdoors, periodically apply an appropriate exterior wood sealer according to the manufacturer's directions to help protect the wood and finish from moisture and UV exposure. Avoid prolonged contact with standing water or persistently wet ground. Natural checking generally does not require repair. Larger checks may be stabilized or professionally filled if desired.
